| Poison/Silver rings at Walmart? |
| message from Rozefyre on 18 Feb 2002 |
Sorry guys, I get WalMart and Kmart mixed up, but I'm pretty sure at
walmart they are selling awesome poison rings also called "crack"
rings with silver/black stone centers that open up! awesome! also some
other very cool very cheap silver/black stone rings in the same
section. I got the biggest poison ring there for my friend for her
birthday and it only cost $15. It was originally like ten times that
price.

"Crack" rings???
Uh.....
Anyhow- that 75-80% markdown on jewelry at places like Ames, Walmart and K mart
is a scam. A silver poison ring's general retail value is around $15. These
Marts have gotten in trouble for that deceptice sale bull they pull- there are
bizarre rules and loophuoles that enable them to claim you are saving 80% off a
regular retail price they only charge maybe 12 days a year. Similar to Raymour
and Flannagan having a super Sale apparently Every single Wednsesday - (and
commercials as, or even more annoying, than Progresso soup ads) Monday on the
same damn stuff. That's not a sale, that's regular price.

point being? Hot Topics pants cost about $10 to make and their shirts
cost less than $5 to make. That means that normally one would pay $50
for the pants and $25 for the shirt. So if they ever have a sale for
their items at "regular price" or even close to it, I will be very
impressed. Besides, there's a joy in knowing that a bozo paid $120
for a ring you're buying for $12, no matter what its real cost was.
anyway. done ranting.
