I like to throw at least 60 points. Anything better than 60, for me, is "good darts". There is a lady on my team who averages in the 20's, so when she hits more than 40, I give her a high-five... and her next throw is usually a triple something!! :) Frame of mind weighs greatly on my game, so I try to keep my team in good spirits by complimenting the great throws and "laugh off" the bad ones. I've watched some darts on videotape and T.V. and have noticed how plain the pro's darts are. Another thing I've noticed and can't explain is how few bounce-outs the pro's get. What's up with that? I used to use the DynaStar rotating flights, but I didn't like the deflection tendencies, or the price of the flights. I still throw retractable-point Bottelsen Hammerheads, and am pretty sure they're not the reason I'm not a professional dart player. ... (more)
