Impressive achievement

I recently acquired--for half a song--a darts cabinet as might be on the
wall of a pub. The doors are ornamented with a remarkable bit of heraldry,
visible at

Purists will note certain oddities of tincture and a carelessness with
regard to double tressure flory counterflory. But the really strange thing
is the motto. The name of a pub, perhaps? In any event, a heraldic
artifact worthy of AOTI.

Hardly. These dartboard cabinets have been widely available for some
years. There are a number of on-line vendors who will be happy to
sell one to anyone who wants one.

I recall seeing this for sale in a Sears (or was it Penneys?)
Christmas catalogue in the 1980s. There were two versions, one larger
than the other. I think the larger was called "The King of Arms" and
bore the arms (with supporters) of the Lord Lyon, with a few changes.

The arms are loosely based on Scotland's Royal Arms, however I would think
these are not legitimate arms under any British heraldic authority.

The arms themselves are "or, a lion rampant gules, a bordure of the last" or
something like that. The helmet reminds me of the style used for the
sovereign, and the crown looks very European. The crest and supporters are
quite Scottish, with the lion facing the viewer, and the unicorns and all
that.

I would be more curious, if I were you, about what condition the dart board
is in?
