It depends on how much $$ you want to invest and what type charms you are planning on getting for her. My charm bracelet is gold, but it was a gift for my college graduation. (I really wanted a silver one.) The gold charms are expensive for the most part. Some, like a gold graduation charm with the date run around $15-$25 and can be found in almost all department stores that sell fine jewelry. Because back in the days when I was using a manual typewriter, I broke a number of bracelets when they got tangled in the keys. Because when I switched to a computer, I found my heavier bracelets added extra letters I didn't want. At the online sites I have visited, they have hundreds if not thousands of charms, everything from birthstones to sports teams and NASCAR racing.
